Focused on AdTech and Programmatic

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Analytics Engineer to design, build, and own end-to-end data solutions for our Programmatic and AdTech ecosystem, spanning data ingestion, modeling, semantic layer development, and final user experience. In this role, you will help establish and scale analytics foundations by partnering on and implementing data pipelinesincluding DSP and SSP data integrationswhile developing governed, analytics-ready models and semantic layer that powers trusted metrics and insights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical, strategic initiatives and shape the future of analytics, data visualization, and reporting within our Programmatic and AdTech space. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Data Visualization & Report Development 
  • Own the development, maintenance, and delivery of analytics-ready data platforms, driving data management best practices to deliver clean, standardized, and well-documented data assets using Snowflake, dbt, and Looker. 
  • Foster strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable analytics and reporting that surface key programmatic and ad tech metrics, trends, and performance indicators. 
  • Partner with the Data team during the design, build, and testing of certified datasets in dbt and Snowflake, including the ingestion and modeling of programmatic data from DSPs, SSPs, and related ad tech platforms. 
  • Oversee the design and development of interactive and performant analytical experiences, with primary ownership of Looker dashboards, Explores, and semantic models supporting programmatic and ad tech analytics. 
  • Design and maintain analytics models and metrics for programmatic advertising performance, including impressions, fill rate, win rate, CPM, revenue, pacing, and delivery diagnostics. 
  • Formulate and implement techniques for auditing and evaluating data collection quality, ensuring adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data. 
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as optimizing data delivery and re-designing tools and data models for greatest impact. 
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and regular feedback. 
  • Champion and uphold data governance practices by promoting data quality, documentation standards, and consistent metric definitions across data models, semantic layers, and reporting tools.

  • Be infinitely curious about data and build out actionable insights through a deep knowledge of the business and data we collect. 
  • Drive a culture of storytelling through data by enabling consistent, trusted, and well-modeled datasets that empower self-service analytics and informed decision-making. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business leaders, analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand analytical needs and architect data models and analytics pipelines, including programmatic and ad tech data integrations, that meet strategic objectives. 
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on data visualization enablement by ensuring robust backend data structures that support intuitive, performant dashboards. 
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in semantic modeling, metric standardization, and reporting infrastructure to promote an insight-driven culture. 
  • Own and evolve governance frameworks and development processes within the visualization and reporting space to ensure data quality, maintainability, and long-term scalability. 

 

What We Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years in a related data visualization or data engineering role. 
  • Proven experience developing and delivering analytics, reporting, or business intelligence solutions within Programmatic and AdTech environments. 
  • Proficiency in Looker and LookML, with experience using other business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. 
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining analytics models using dbt and Snowflake. 
  • Advanced SQL knowledge, including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with large datasets. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. 
  • Experience working with data from DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, or programmatic advertising platforms (e.g., campaign, impression, and revenue-level data). 
  • Experience working within agile development methodologies and collaborative project delivery practices. 

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques is a plus. 
  • Previous experience partnering with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting needs. 
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required. 
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

 Base Salary Band: $105,000.00 - $178,000.00
