Summer Internship Program - Junior Copywriter

 

The Opportunity: Junior Copywriter internship with Patients & Purpose, Omnicom Health Group agency. We are looking for interns that are open to exploring new ideas and opportunities, making bold leaps that will push boundaries, and are generous with their ideas, time, and passion. In addition to tackling real client work, interns will have the opportunity to work on cross-agency projects with fellow interns. 

 

Using your talent and creativity, you will be creating work for real clients. You will be hands-on in the idea-generating phase for a large variety of projects, such as print pieces, social campaigns and even videos, while writing manuscripts for a range of deliverables. You'll learn the science and data, as well as the best ways to convey it to consumers. Most importantly, you'll be an integral part of the day-to-day creative team and help bring to life-changing work.

What it means to be a Junior Copywriter: 

  • While working closely with Art, Editorial and Account, you will:
    • Find the best ways to articulate and convey your message
    • Refine your thoughts and ideas for the appropriate platforms 
    • Learn to effectively communicate amongst a whole team
  • Daily responsibilities start with:
    • Creating manuscripts based on approved briefs
    • Owning your creative work (deliverables) throughout the entire process
    • Partner with an Art Director to generate ideas and creative approach, work the Editorial team to ensure accuracy, and check in with Account/Project Management team to meet deadlines
    • Learn the annotation process
  • The team also relies on you to: 
    • Ideate great ideas
    • Use your writing skills to help bring creative pieces to life
    • Keep your pieces moving within the timeline that the Project Management team has provided to you 
  • This role helps you advance by providing you with:
    • Training, mentoring, and an introduction to many types of projects
    • The responsibility of owning projects from beginning to end 
    • Profession skills and tools to help you thrive in the advertising industry

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
