Commercial Lines Account Manager

Account Manager, Commercial Lines
Patriot Growth Insurance Services | Media, PA | Hybrid | Full-Time

Why This Role Matters

If you've built real relationships with clients, know how to navigate a difficult renewal, and hold yourself to a standard most people in this industry don't, this is the role that puts all of it to use.

Our commercial lines practice is growing, and this book reflects that. You'll manage a mix of small business, middle market, and complex/specialty accounts, the kind of range that keeps the work interesting and the skill set sharp, regardless of where you are in your career. The clients here expect a lot and remember who delivers. The producers here work with you, not around you. And the platform behind you — national carrier access, 150+ locations, a team that genuinely collaborates — means you're never solving a hard problem without the right resources in reach.

This is a role for someone who takes their book personally. If that's you, you'll feel it here.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own the renewal process from marketing strategy to delivery so that clients trust you as the person who has their back — not just the person who processes their paperwork.
  • Manage accounts across every industry segment so that your range of experience deepens with every renewal cycle, regardless of how much you already bring.
  • Lead the marketing and submission process — coordinating underwriters, carriers, and client stakeholders — so that when it's over, clients remember who made it easy.
  • Translate coverage forms, endorsements, and exposures into clear, confident guidance so that clients make informed decisions instead of anxious ones.
  • Leverage Patriot's carrier relationships so that when a renewal or a hard market gets difficult, you're never navigating it without backup.
  • Partner with producers on strategy, retention, and new business so that the full value of what you know is in the room every time it matters.

Who You Are

  • You hold yourself to a standard your clients can feel — response times, accuracy, follow-through — without anyone needing to ask.
  • You think like a consultant, not a coordinator — you're already asking the "why" behind what clients need, not just executing the "what."
  • You stay calm when everything is urgent — renewal season, last-minute carrier changes, and competing deadlines are where you do your best work, not your worst.
  • You take ownership before anyone asks — if it's in your book, it's yours to protect and yours to grow.
  • You know how to work a room — whether it's a producer, an underwriter, or a client's CFO, you read the dynamic and adjust without losing your footing.
  • You're looking for a place that matches your ambition — whether that means building toward senior AM, a producer track, or practice leadership, you want an environment that grows with you.

What You Bring

Your Background:

  • Active Property & Casualty license
  • Meaningful experience managing a commercial lines book — enough to know what a hard renewal feels like and how to navigate one
  • Familiarity with an agency management system (AMS360, EPIC, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of policy forms, endorsements, and coverage analysis across major lines (property, GL, auto, umbrella, workers' comp)

Valuable Additions:

  • Experience with complex or specialty risks (construction, habitational, transportation, or similar)
  • Established carrier relationships across your markets
  • CIC, CISR, or CPCU designation

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
