Position Overview: Our company seeks an experienced and licensed insurance sales professional who excels in providing superb customer service to ensure customers have the appropriate insurance coverage for their personal and business needs, to join us as a Commercial Lines Insurance Account Executive. In this position you will work to provide comprehensive advice and consultation to the insurance clients in North and South Dakota. In this role you will collaborate with other team members to deliver exceptional client service, including preparation of policy renewals and changes, and handling insurance claims efficiently. This position will emphasize serving as a consultant and advisor to the clients to ensure continued business retention.

Work location: This is a full-time, fully remote position supporting our office located in Minot, ND.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and retain a book of commercial lines business, serving as the primary point of contact for client service and strategy.
  • Lead the renewal process, including coverage analysis, market strategy, and client presentations.
  • Provide consultative guidance across all lines of property and casualty insurance, identifying coverage gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Respond to client service needs including policy reviews, claims support, contract analysis, and coverage questions.
  • Collaborate with Producers, Account Managers, and underwriters to ensure successful placement and servicing of accounts.
  • Prepare submissions, negotiate with carriers, and support the placement of new and renewal business.
  • Issue certificates, binders, and policy documentation while maintaining accurate records in the agency management system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier partners while staying current on industry trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a focus on account management, risk management, or production.
  • Proven experience managing a book of business exceeding $2 million in premium.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk management principles and coverage structures.
  • Experience working with mid-market to large commercial clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Industry designations such as CIC preferred.

Compensation range: A starting base salary in the $70,000 to $80,000 range, depending on the candidate's experience. This position is also eligible for additional incentive compensation that is performance based.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
