- Manage payroll processing for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll administration.
- Review payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities with precision.
- Advise clients on payroll tax compliance, wage and hour regulations, payroll controls, and payroll administration best practices.
- Lead or support payroll and HRIS implementations, technology upgrades, and process improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and payroll technology providers, helping resolve system issues and support end-user success.
- Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation that support client business needs and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, improve accuracy, and create efficiencies that enhance the client experience.
- Partner with HR Consulting and internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality support and strengthen client retention.

What You Bring
Day One:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, payroll tax compliance, or a related payroll consulting role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, payroll taxes, internal controls, and wage and hour regulations.
- Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local payroll laws and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS platforms.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong client service orientation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound professional judgment when handling sensitive information.
Valuable Additions:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing payroll for multiple clients, business entities, or employee populations.
- Experience with Rippling, Paylocity, or similar payroll and HRIS platforms.
- Experience supporting payroll system implementations, upgrades, or operational transformation initiatives.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
- Willingness to pursue payroll certification and ongoing professional development.
- Experience working in a consulting, outsourced payroll, or professional services environment.
