How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage a portfolio of in-force employee benefits clients, primarily self-funded groups, to drive satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership.
- Develop and execute customized Benefit Edge Strategic Plans that support client goals and improve year-over-year retention.
- Analyze plan performance, funding arrangements, and financial results to identify opportunities for cost containment and benefit optimization.
- Negotiate renewals and terms with carriers to secure competitive solutions and favorable outcomes for clients.
- Lead renewal presentations, open enrollment meetings, and client strategy discussions with clarity and confidence.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and support business development efforts that contribute to agency growth.
- Deliver quarterly financial reports and client reviews that provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Stay informed on market trends, compliance developments, and industry best practices, sharing relevant updates with clients and colleagues.

What You Bring
Day One:
- 3+ years of experience in account management, customer support, or a related client-facing role within the employee benefits insurance industry.
- Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Active Nebraska Life and Health Insurance License.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits programs, including medical, ancillary, and self-funded plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other client management tools.
- Ability to analyze data, manage projects, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
Valuable Additions:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience working extensively with self-funded employer groups.
- Advanced knowledge of benefit compliance requirements and regulatory updates.
- Demonstrated success identifying cross-selling opportunities and supporting business growth initiatives.
- Industry certifications or ongoing professional development related to employee benefits or insurance consulting.
