Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute functional and non-functional manual test cases across multiple environments.
  • Collect, organize and analyze test results to ensure thorough reporting of QA activities.
  • Prepare and manage test data, tools, and test environments required for execution.
  • Log, track and verify defects; ensure accurate documentation and timely closure.
  • Design and review manual test cases based on specifications, and business requirements, collaborating closely with stakeholders. Be able to maintain and update test cases including manual and automation.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, ensuring coverage for both new features and regression testing.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated modules, supporting QA testers and assisting team members with domain knowledge.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior QA engineers, including onboarding and training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by updating testing guidelines and processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or QA Lead with a focus on manual testing.
  • Strong ability to analyze technical requirements, design test strategies, and create detailed test cases.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and tools such as TestLink, TestRail, QA Symphony or similar.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test lifecycle processes.
  • Basic knowledge or exposure to API testing with tools like Postman.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mobile application testing (Android and iOS).
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation.
  • Basic understanding of one programming language (for test case design or scripting, PR Review).
  • Exposure to web, mobile, and API automation is a plus (even if primary focus is manual testing)
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
  • Experience working in Agile or fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with the financial or payments domain is highly desirable.
  • Experience in proposing and standardizing QA processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Hybrid Workstyle (flexible working style including Remote and office)
    ※There are no fixed rules regarding office attendance in Product group; it depends on each individual's discretion.

Work Hours

  • Super Flex Time (No Core Time)
  • In principle, 9:00am-5:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)

Holidays

  • Every Sat/Sun/National holidays (In Japan)/New Year's break/Company-designated Special days

Paid leave

  • Annual leave (up to 14 days in the first year, granted proportionally according to the month of employment. Can be used from the date of hire)
  • Personal leave (5 days each year, granted proportionally according to the month of employment)

Salary

  • Annual salary paid in 12 installments (monthly)
  • Based on skills, experience, and abilities
  • Reviewed once a year

    ※ Payroll payment can be changed to digital salary payment “PayPay Paycheck” for an amount set by you
