About the Product Marketer role

We’re hiring a Product Marketer based in Lagos, Nigeria,  to own go-to-market strategy, product storytelling, and user adoption across Paystack’s suite of products, from business tools to consumer experiences.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and brand storytellers to craft compelling product narratives, bring new features to market, and drive sustained growth across key segments.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused primarily on product marketing.

Why this role matters

Paystack builds for a wide range of users: developers, business owners, and everyday consumers. To earn trust and drive adoption, we need to tell clear, resonant stories about what we’re building, and why it matters. This role will help us do that, while also identifying strategic channels that get our products into the hands of the right people.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Own product marketing and promotion efforts across Paystack’s products, from launch comms to long-term growth campaigns.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and brand storytelling teams to shape feature positioning and messaging.
  • Write clear, compelling copy for product announcements, feature pages, onboarding content, help guides, and internal briefs.
  • Create go-to-market plans for new products and updates, and drive execution among teams.
  • Plan and execute product-focused events, online and offline, that build visibility and engagement.
  • Track and report performance of product marketing efforts, including adoption, retention, and feedback.
  • Develop product-led content (e.g., blogs, social threads, customer stories) that educates and inspires.
  • Conduct user research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning, messaging, and roadmap decisions.
  • Identify and support strategic growth efforts, such as creator collaborations or integrations.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 4+ years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or growth marketing, ideally in an enterprise or B2B focused role.
  • Can understand how a technical product works and explain it in simple, engaging language.
  • Are a strong writer with storytelling instincts and experience working across formats.
  • Have a sharp product sense and think deeply about what users need to know, feel, or do.
  • Are confident working with metrics and data,  and using them to improve content and campaigns.
  • Are proactive, collaborative, and excited to work across multiple teams and markets.
  • Can manage several moving parts without losing sight of the goal.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have worked on cross-country campaigns or understand pan-African customer contexts.
  • Have built community, influencer, or ecosystem partnerships around a product.
  • Are familiar with marketing analytics tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package and benefits
  • 13th month bonus
  • Stripe Equity compensation
  • Full medical coverage
  • Wellbeing stipend
  • Generous leave and sabbatical policies
  • Hybrid working environment
  • Smart, kind colleagues who’re invested in your growth.
