We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Technician to our dynamic team in Richland, Washington.
$27 to $30 hourly in office and field full-time with benefits.
The role is field-intensive and supports a broad range of projects located in Eastern/Central Washington and Oregon areas. These projects reflect PBS’ core practices in industrial hygiene/health and safety, environmental compliance, indoor air quality, and contaminated site assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science, biology, chemistry, health and safety, or a related field
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift approximately 30 pounds
- Authorization to work in the US
- Valid driver's license
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in industrial hygiene, environmental science, biology, health and safety, or a related field
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- AHERA Asbestos Inspector certification
- NIOSH 582 Certified Analyst
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires the appropriate skill set to fulfill the following:
- Project oversight for hazardous material abatement projects
- Hazardous building material surveys
- Indoor air quality assessments
- Exposure monitoring
- Multi-media sampling (air, groundwater, stormwater, and soil)
- Preparation of reports and presentations
- Travel to project sites within the Eastern Washington and Oregon region is required
- Represent PBS in a safe and professional manner both internally and external
