 Senior Accountant

 POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Accountant will oversee and grow all financial operations of PDM Group. This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organization including AR, AP, invoicing, budgeting, accounting records / reports and financial management. This position will require an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong financial background to support business growth and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing and enforcing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.

Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, forecasting and financial planning.

Oversee and manage the accounts receivables function of billing and collections by ensuring customers are billed timely with collections being made in accordance with credit terms.

Oversee and manage the accounts payable function, ensuring vendor invoices are processed in a timely manner in the correct accounting period and paid on time.

Manage and complete all aspects of the month-end / year-end close processes in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements within given deadlines.

Financial package, Work in Progress (WIP), aging, risk analysis and other financial reporting to leadership.

Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Communicate effectively with customers and vendors to ensure understanding and problem resolution.

Commitment to uphold ethical standards and promoting a culture of honesty and integrity.

Accurate and timely processing of payroll.

Commissions payout calculations when applicable

Help hire, develop, and retain skilled finance staff when applicable

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of all accounting functions including invoicing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and organization

Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work independently

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment by prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities

Strong ability to communicate accounting and financial information into common language

 Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED

3-5 years’ experience working with a entrepreneurial mindset

 Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

HVACR/construction experience – AIA / Cost Accounting

Problem Solving/Analysis skills

Organizational leadership and team work to encourage team growth and cooperation

Customer/Client Focus

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
