About the job

We're looking for a highly capable, detail-oriented Senior Logistics Manager to lead and optimize key functions within our global logistics network and wholesale operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth execution of shipments, effective communication across partners, and alignment between our manufacturing and fulfillment operations.

You’ll report to the Head of Customer Service & Logistics, collaborate closely with our Demand Planner, and work cross-functionally with Business Operations, Product, Marketing and Sales Teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, brings clarity and momentum to complex, multi-stakeholder projects, and excels at juggling multiple initiatives with ever-changing priorities and urgency levels

What you'll do:

  • Oversee global day-to-day logistics execution across our fulfillment network, ensuring shipments move on time and escalations are addressed with urgency and precision.
  • Serve as the primary logistics contact across warehouse, factory, and marketplace partners—driving alignment, transparency, and accountability.
  • Lead our hardworking and globally distributed Wholesale Operations & Operations teams. You’ll keep things moving, and help folks grow while making sure we’re hitting goals and solving problems together.
  • Coordinate international factory shipments in collaboration with product, planning, and warehouse teams; manage transfer orders with attention to tax compliance and rebate eligibility.
  • Lead all logistics aspects of new product introductions, including arrival tracking, in-stock readiness, and sample management.
  • Support end-to-end wholesale order execution and serve as a logistics partner to the Amazon team for direct fulfillment initiatives.
  • Own and manage the logistics error resolution process—investigating root causes, coordinating cross-functional fixes, and implementing sustainable improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping timelines and costs across transportation modes to support launch planning, demand forecasting, and strategic freight decisions.
  • Manage freight provider relationships and ASN compliance; evaluate new vendors to strengthen performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
  • Maintain accurate HTS codes and tariff classifications, applying customs strategies to reduce costs and ensure compliance.
  • Reconcile logistics expenses and assist with audits, surfacing insights to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain internal documentation, trackers, and SOPs that enable transparency, training, and continuous improvement across the team.

Role requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or wholesale operations—preferably in consumer goods or DTC.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines and juggle shifting priorities across multiple cross-functional stakeholders, while proactively solving problems and driving continuous operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience working with 3PLs, international freight, reverse logistics, and factory shipments.
  • Clear and effective communicator across written, verbal, and visual mediums.
  • Comfortable using ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite), WMS, 3PL portals, and shipping tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and cost modeling.
  • You’re local to the San Francisco Bay Area (or willing to relocate for this role). You’re willing to work from our office in the Dogpatch neighborhood a minimum of 2-3 days per week (i.e. this is not a remote role, though we do maintain flexibility).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting Amazon AWD, marketplace fulfillment, and/or big-box account logistics.
  • Familiarity with HTS code classification, tariff engineering, and cross-border compliance strategies.
  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI) logistics and launch timeline coordination.
  • Confidence building out internal reporting dashboards or trackers in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • A knack for vendor management, rate negotiation, and optimizing freight spend.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and logistics-related financial reconciliation.
  • Experience transitioning a logistics function in-house or scaling logistics systems and processes.
  • Interest in sustainable logistics practices, packaging optimization, or carbon-conscious freight planning.

A day in the life:

  • Start your morning with a cup o’ joe and check Slack, email, and dashboards to triage fires and realign priorities. If you're in the office, swing by the kitchen—there might be fresh-baked treats waiting.
  • Review 3PL dashboards and inbound tracking reports to stay on top of active shipments. Follow up with freight forwarders to confirm ETAs, flag delays, and ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Join a weekly standing call with one of our 3PL partners to align on active shipments, resolve open issues, and talk through new concerns.
  • Meet with the Demand Planner and Sales Lead to align on inventory readiness and timelines for an upcoming launch.
  • Grab lunch (if it’s Tuesday, it’s on us!) and use the break to catch up with teammates or clear your head before the afternoon push.
  • Update NPI trackers and SOPs based on recent process changes or partner feedback.
  • Jump on a call with our freight account manager to problem-solve a delayed, time-sensitive shipment.
  • Check Salesforce Service dashboards and reports on SLA adherence and issue volumes. Escalate notable issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Wrap up the day by resolving an ASN reconciliation & shipment mislabeling issue—ensuring that inventory is properly received and parties responsible for the error are held accountable.
  • Log off and unplug. Maybe you head out for a post-work team ride, a friendly pickleball match, or just a well-earned break with friends and family.

Salary Range

  • $112,000 - $130,000
  • Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
