About the job

  • As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading system integrations, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and driving improvements across our systems and workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, address, and implement scalable solutions that support key operational needs. You will also act as a subject matter expert in how systems interact across the organization.

     

  • We’re looking for someone who is passionate about problem solving, someone who can investigate, dive deep into systems, and figure out what’s really going on. You should be able to independently identify root causes, understand how systems are interconnected, and anticipate how changes impact upstream and downstream systems. You are comfortable working with minimal guidance and can effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Lead system integrations and technical implementations that support key operational workflows
  • Serve as a senior-level resource for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system-related issues
  • Troubleshoot application errors and ensure systems are running reliably and efficiently
  • Build and maintain custom integrations connecting multiple systems (e.g., NetSuite, Shopify, 3PLs)
  • Determine technical approaches and project direction for assigned initiatives
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Identify and drive process and system improvements across the technology stack
  • Act as a subject matter expert on system architecture and data flows across tools
  • Work with Engineering teams on the design and implementation of internal tools
  • Partner with stakeholders across wholesale, logistics, and operations to deliver scalable solutions
  • Prioritize issues of varying severity and effectively manage resolution timelines
    Contribute to technical discussions and help guide system-level decisions

About you:

Required Experience

  • Excellent (English) communication skills
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, integrations, or backend development
  • Highly motivated with the ability to break down complex problems and solve them independently
  • Strong experience with integrations, APIs, and data structures (comfortable working with JSON)
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, web platforms such as Shopify, and 3PLs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through ambiguous requirements and define solutions
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and identify root causes
  • Ability to understand how systems interact and how changes impact upstream/downstream processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to work with a remote team and operate independently
  • Be available and online during core business hours of 9AM - 5PM PST M-F

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Celigo)
  • Experience optimizing legacy systems and improving system performance
  • Experience working on cross-functional or large-scale system projects
