Your Impact
We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented OSP Engineer with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license to support large-scale TxDOT relocation projects for AT&T within the TxDOT Austin District. This role will focus on professional engineering review, quality assurance/quality control, conflict resolution, construction support, and stakeholder coordination related to AT&T telecom facilities impacted by roadway and infrastructure projects.
This position is not intended to perform workprints, design work, or cable sizing. The PE will assist AT&T Engineering by reviewing plans, RFIs, conflict solutions, and ARAMIS prints, providing comments and recommendations in the best interest of AT&T.
Core Responsibilities

Support large-scale TxDOT relocation projects for AT&T in the TxDOT Austin District.

Provide PE-level QA/QC review of civil plan and profile sheets prepared by TxDOT-hired engineering consultants.

Assist AT&T Engineering with review and acceptance of relocation plans, providing comments, recommendations, or alternative solutions as needed.

Review conflict solutions presented by TxDOT consultants and help determine the best path forward for AT&T facilities.

Support active construction projects by reviewing formal RFIs and questions from roadway contractors, joint-bid telecom contractors, and other stakeholders.

Review ARAMIS prints for feasibility of sequencing work, including placing and splicing cable to clear areas requested by TxDOT and project stakeholders.

Attend virtual stakeholder meetings for upcoming projects, projects in design, and projects in construction.

Attend onsite meetings when required, though they are expected to be rare.

Use ARAMIS and other AT&T systems independently to complete reviews and provide comments.

Complete review requests within 5 business days of submission.
Core Qualifications
-
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; PE may be registered in any state.

Must have experience working on large-scale TxDOT relocation projects for AT&T in the TxDOT Austin District.

Telecom engineering experience required.

OSP Engineering experience strongly preferred, especially with road moves, highway widening, utility relocation, or DOT-related projects.

Experience reviewing civil plans, profiles, relocation designs, RFIs, conflict solutions, and construction-related documentation.

Strong understanding of AT&T facilities, telecom relocation, utility coordination, ROW impacts, and construction sequencing.

Experience using ARAMIS and other AT&T systems.

Ability to provide clear engineering comments, recommendations, and alternative solutions in the best interest of AT&T.

Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote and field-based environment.

Ability to manage high-volume review requests within defined turnaround times.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior experience reviewing large volumes of civil sheets, conflict solutions, RFIs, and ARAMIS prints.

Experience coordinating with TxDOT, roadway contractors, telecom contractors, engineering consultants, and project stakeholders.

Familiarity with systems such as ARAMIS, LFACS, MIC, WALDO, TIRKS, or similar AT&T/telecom platforms.

Experience supporting projects through both design and active construction phases.

Remote and field-based in the Austin, Texas area.

Most meetings are virtual; occasional onsite meetings may be required.

Must be able to work independently and use AT&T systems without relying on the AT&T Engineer for reviews or comments.

Base Pay Range
$60 - $65 USD
