Role Summary

Role: Logistics Manager

Location: Fremont, CA.

About the Role

As a key member of the Supply Chain Operations team, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics operations of the company. S/he will play a critical role in ensuring smooth inbound and outbound logistics , distribution, and inventory management of Pebble’s raw and finished goods materials. The Logistics Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for efficient supply chain operations management, implement logistics systems and tools and oversee trade compliance to optimize for tax and trade-associated costs. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in logistics roles, particularly in automotive or other large vehicle logistics. S/he should be capable of managing day-to-day tactical logistics activities while also building mid- and long-term strategies to optimize speed, cost, and overall efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall logistics to optimize international and domestic transportation cost, capacity and speed; including inbound and outbound raw, semi-finished and finished goods material flows and the logistics management for delivery of RV’s to customers.
  • Manage inventory storage and distribution for both raw and finished goods materials at 3rd party logistics provider location(s) and onsite at Pebble’s factory and stockroom locations
  • Manage the shipping and receiving functions at Pebble’s factory & stockroom.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for efficient supply chain management
  • Implement logistics systems and tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee trade compliance and optimize for tax and trade-associated costs
  • Ensure compliant product classifications and documentation for all import and export shipments in accordance with local laws and government agencies 
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods throughout the supply chain
  • Monitor logistics operations , identify and proactively drive improvements
  • Manage relationships with logistics service providers (LSP’s) and related consultant engagements
  • Forecast and plan for future logistics needs and costs
  • Develop, track and analyze logistics KPIs 
  • Ability to lead and/or support special operational projects as needed/required.
  • Train and develop team members to be successful in scaling operations across logistics, trade compliance and material handling and inventory management  

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics roles with increasing responsibility
  • Experience in hardware supply chain, preference for automotive or other large vehicle logistics
  • Capable of managing day-to-day tactical logistics activities and building mid- and long-term strategies
  • Experience implementing Netsuite or other ERP systems, logistics systems and tools e.g. WMS, ERP, TMS, EDI, etc.
  • Strong understanding of trade compliance and optimization for tax and trade-associated costs
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized to accommodate changing business priorities and data sets
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven with a focus on accuracy
