Production Supervisor

SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor oversees plant operations to ensure compounding, compression, and packaging activities are completed per the production schedule and meet cGMP, SOP, safety requirements in accordance with corporate policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and directs plant employees to include staffing and performance management.
  • Manage employee training, workforce ladder qualification assessments, ladder advancements, and workforce ladder updates.
  • Directly manage personnel allocation, hours, and production as outlined in the weekly production schedule and uses ERP system to ensure materials, supplies, and resources are available.
  • Effectively prioritizes workload and manages time to complete multiple projects within established timelines and communications priorities to Team Leads to ensure proper planning of equipment, material, and labor requirements.
  • Authors system investigation reports (SIRs), reviews executed batch records and logbooks, reviews, updates, and approves cGMP documents.
  • Works with leads to ensure work areas and equipment prior to start-up and at the completion of work activities are safe, clean, and ready for inspection and ready to use post-inspection.
  • Works cross-functionally to schedule preventative maintenance, cGMP training, and support ongoing continuous improvement projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and plant operations required. Overseeing FDA/cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing operations with people leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems preferred.
