The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a contract Senior Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager to lead customer lifecycle initiatives across Pela and Lomi during a parental leave coverage period. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth, customer retention, and lifetime value through data-driven lifecycle marketing strategies, while supporting key brand campaigns and member engagement initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with growth, brand, and retail teams to lead a high-impact lifecycle strategy while mentoring team members and driving performance across owned marketing channels, including email, SMS, direct mail, app notifications, and our customer rewards program. This role is full-time, fixed-term covering a maternity leave from August 2025 to February 2027. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for email, SMS, direct mail, and app notification campaigns to maximize revenue, AOV, conversion, and retention
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle for both brands and execute strategies to improve retention and reduce churn for Lomi subscribers and Pela customers
  • Own the Lomi Rewards program, including partner strategy, points optimization, promotional planning, and leveraging rewards for retention and upsell strategies
  • Execute cross-brand initiatives to introduce Pela Case customers to Lomi and convert Costco buyers into Lomi members
  • Manage the Lomi Planning Calendar and lead lifecycle campaign development, ensuring alignment across all website, social, email, SMS and app touchpoints with promotions and product launches
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing Specialist on content calendars and campaign briefing to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels
  • Coordinate Artist Series collaborations for Pela Case, managing outreach, communications, and end-to-end campaign execution
  • Work closely with Growth, Brand, Retail, and Product teams to ensure lifecycle marketing efforts support broader business objectives and strategic goals
  • Analyze channel and campaign performance data to inform testing strategies, optimizations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct ongoing A/B testing across offers, creatives, messaging, and customer segmentation to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to ensure lifecycle channels contribute to core growth and retention targets
  • Manage and mentor junior lifecycle team members, providing guidance on best practices and professional development
  • Champion customer-centric thinking and drive innovative retention strategies within the broader marketing organization
  • Represent Lifecycle Marketing on the Marketing Leadership Team and contribute to overall brand planning, strategy development, and execution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years contributing to lifecycle and retention strategies in DTC/e-commerce, with end-to-end ownership of email, SMS, direct mail, and app campaigns.
  • Proven experience executing data-informed campaigns that drive customer engagement and loyalty, delivering measurable lifts in conversion, AOV, and retention.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of lifecycle KPIs and attribution with expertise in A/B testing, segmentation, and real-time performance optimization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional marketing initiatives and collaborating with creative teams.
  • Expertise in email/SMS platforms, customer segmentation, and lifecycle journey mapping.
  • Highly organized and proven ability to manage campaign calendars and lead multi-brand initiatives.
  • Ability to identify key inflection points in the customer journey and apply strategic segmentation and journey mapping to reduce churn and increase repeat engagement.
  • Experience managing loyalty programs and leveraging rewards for retention, upsell, and partner strategy.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage performance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
