The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Fulfillment Team Lead to support and coordinate warehouse and order fulfillment operations. Reporting to the Manager of Fulfillment, this role ensures all inbound and outbound shipments are completed in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner while maintaining accurate inventory records and effective stock management.  You will help lead the team, support warehouse operations, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, environmentally conscious workplace.  In this position you will be proficient in shipping and warehousing practices, while being a self-starter who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and problem-solving.    

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, coordinate, and facilitate efficient order management processes.
  • Assist in creating shipping labels, packing slips, and organizing documentation.
  • Pick and process orders accurately and quickly following company’s fulfillment standards.
  • Monitor and address order exceptions and perform purchase order reconciliations.
  • Organize and schedule daily shipments with each carrier (domestic and international).
  • Ensure accurate PO receiving and shipping reconciliation.
  • Assist with international shipping compliance including customs documentation and import/export requirements.
  • Coordinate and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to streamline operations.
  • Oversee inventory counts, perform stock reconciliation, and assist in receiving inventory.
  • Support the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, garbage disposal, and stock placement.
  • Ensure daily and weekly fulfillment targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify staffing needs and assist in scheduling.
  • Lead training programs for new hires and provide ongoing support to the team.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain or obtain Occupational Health and Safety Level 1 certification.
  • Promote and uphold Pela’s commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and safe practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Has domestic and international shipping experience and is familiar with required exporting/importing regulations
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and shipping/inventory systems like ShipHero (or comparable platforms).
  • Familiarity with inventory management, warehouse layout optimization, and process efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong process management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to green manufacturing and sustainability.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • A team-player who wants to participate in green manufacturing and promote a sustainable future.
  • Forklift experience
  • Forklift certification is considered an asset.

Compensation range - USD $20-$22/hour
