Overview of the Role:
Pelago Coaches make a meaningful impact on people’s lives by supporting members through behavioral change. Using motivational interviewing techniques, our Coaches connect with members via phone calls and digital communication, guiding them on their journey toward positive transformation.
In this role you will…
- Support members as they navigate their behavioral change journey.
- Engage with members weekly through text-based chats and check-ins to track their progress.
- Conduct initial onboarding coaching calls to establish rapport and set goals.
- Provide guidance on managing cravings and handling challenging situations.
- Motivate and encourage members, fostering long-term success.
- Monitor progress and empower members to make meaningful life changes.
- Collaborate across departments while being a strong team player.
- Maintain a positive and professional presence in Slack channels.
- Take initiative in identifying and addressing team needs, supporting overall coaching efforts.
- Offer and receive open, constructive feedback.
- Manage time effectively while working within a flexible schedule.
- Operate autonomously with strong technological proficiency and critical thinking skills.
- Share best practices on clinical engagement with the broader team when requested.
- Maintain up-to-date availability; we’re looking for a commitment of 10 hours per month to begin as a minimum.
The background we are looking for...
- Minimum of one year of coaching experience or NBHWC certification.
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing.
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals, including coaches, counselors, physicians, and nurses.
- Adaptability to fast-changing environments.
- Strong ability to foster culture, particularly in remote settings.
- Excellent communication skills in a virtual environment.
- Technological proficiency with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and platforms.
- Preferred: TTS Certification.
The provided range reflects our US target hourly range for this part-time position. Individual pay within the range will vary based on a variety of factors like role-related experience and education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business factors.
Pay Range
$28 - $30 USD
