
Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor - (Nevada or Oklahoma) Full Time, Remote
About the role:
We're on the lookout for a remote Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join the leading digital clinic for substance addictions. As a key member of our counseling team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey to overcome substance addictions. Your main objective will be guiding members towards leading addiction-free lives! Collaborating closely with our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the rapid growth of our business, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in scaling up a successful venture.
This is a full-time, remote position with flexible working hours, open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S., provided they hold an active Nevada and/or Oklahoma license.
In this role you will:
- Provide counseling to members on a weekly basis through text-based chat, video calls, and phone calls, to monitor their progress on their recovery journey.
- Onboard the users with an initial phone call and complete a multidimensional assessment to gather relevant behavioral health history and symptoms.
- Monitor the progress of members and offer therapeutic strategies on how to deal with temptations and cravings.
- Be supportive and encouraging to members to help them establish and sustain motivation to change their substance use.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a positive experience for all members and provide valuable feedback to the product development team.
- Uphold good standing with your active license(s)/certification(s).
- Attend team meetings and/or case discussions as scheduled.
- Help someone transform their life and the life of their family through their addiction recovery!
We Are Looking For You To Bring:
- Active, state-issued license in Nevada and/or Oklahoma, in good standing.
Eligible licenses: - Nevada: CADC, LADC, LCADC (no Intern/Trainee versions)
- Oklahoma: CADC, LADC, LADC/MH (unrestricted preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years clinical experience delivering CBT/behavioral support for SUD (tobacco, alcohol, opioids).
- Proficient with MI/MET, MAT coordination, and Relapse Prevention.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (coaches, physicians, nurses).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable in fast-moving environments; able to prioritize competing demands.
- Technologically fluent; quick to learn new tools and platforms.
Preferred (not required):
- National addictions certifications such as AADC/CAADC/CS (IC&RC) or NCAC-II/MAC (NAADAC).
- Unrestricted/independent level licensure (e.g., NV LADC/LCADC; OK LADC/LADC-MH).

The provided range reflects our US target salary range for this full-time position, which is part of our broader total compensation package, including incentive bonus program, stock options, comprehensive benefits, and incentive pay applicable to eligible roles. Individual pay within the range will vary based on a variety of factors like role-related experience and education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business factors. At Pelago, we are committed to an equitable and fair pay philosophy and review total compensation for our employees at least twice a year.

$59,000 - $62,000 USD
