A Lead Technical Product Manager at Penn Interactive is responsible for driving strategy and execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives. In this role you will directly own high-impact initiatives while also managing and mentoring a team of TPMs, helping them develop their skills and maximize their impact. You will have the opportunity to work closely with engineering, product and business leaders to define roadmaps, align priorities and ensure successful execution.
About the work
- Collaborate with engineering, product and business teams to align on strategic direction and ensure seamless execution of product and technical initiatives
- Develop and maintain deep awareness of the business and technical landscape to lead and drive strategy for complex technical initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Lead and mentor a team of TPMs across multiple teams, providing guidance on best practices and career development to establish a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Act as a player-coach by leading and collaborating with your TPMs to build and refine impactful roadmaps and ensuring successful and timely delivery of key initiatives
- Foster a culture of data-driven innovation by identifying opportunities to improve system performance, developer experience and operational efficiency through KPIs and SLOs
- Effectively communicate progress, risks and opportunities to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across key initiatives
- 8+ years of experience in product management in a technical environment
- At least 1+ years of experience in managing and mentoring junior PMs/TPMs
- Background in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related field
- Strong technical background with enterprise systems design and software development processes
- Strong proficiency in understanding complex technical challenges and making data-driven decisions
- Must be proficient in using Datadog and other technical tools to build and execute technical strategy
- Must be a self-starter, a team player, and capable of operating autonomously
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making and influencing capabilities
- Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with Senior and Executive leadership to influence decision-making and gain alignment on technical initiatives
