About the work
We are looking for a passionate Events Specialist to join our events team! You will assist our Events Team in ensuring all events and player engagement activity objectives are aligned to our business goals and objectives: increase customer lifetime value (revenue, time, and profitability) through increased engagement, exceptional player word-of mouth & virality for smarter acquisition, and industry leading levels of retention. You will be tasked with day-to-day event administrative responsibilities and merchandise inventory management. This role will also be responsible for coordinating and managing event logistics, such as ticket distribution, guest lists, seating charts, food & beverage options, and travel & accommodations for internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role, this person will need to be equal parts process-driven, detail oriented, and highly organized with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
About the role
- Coordinate and support the Events Director with Penn Interactive’s events and experiences, by ensuring events are set up to brand standards.
- Organize and analyze internal records to assist the events team in making strategic decisions for all Penn Interactive branded events.
- Develop and manage administrative processes to track event information and logistics.
- Maintain and manage event databases, budget templates, materials & supplies, reports, calendars, and the marketing department’s central library of event marketing collateral.
- Assist with event logistics including but not limited to : coordinating ticket distribution, event related travel & accommodations (for internal and external stakeholders) creating seating charts, selecting menu & beverage options & quantity
- Assist with delivery of supplies & swag.
- Source swag and help select best pricing and quality items for promotional event giveaways.
- Source and manage event opportunities and make recommendations as directed by taking meetings and reporting on opportunities to the Event the Director.
- Assist with managing relationships with corporate and brick and mortar stakeholders as directed during the planning stages of omnichannel events.
- Maintain records of all bookings including but not limited to venues, catering, entertainment and issuing payment where necessary.
- Collaborate with Compliance to ensure vendor compliance approval in alignment with state-level regulatory requirements.
- Calculate spend/ROI analysis of each event managed and provide recommendations to improve each event.
- Conduct event postmortems to identify areas for improvement.
- This position is expected to travel 50% of the time.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in marketing, PR, business administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years events or similar job experience.
- At least 1 year budget management experience for a mid to large size events team.
- Excellent detail orientation skills.
- Ability to execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations (Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania)
- MUST HAVE: Passion for sports, casino and/or sports & casino betting
- Position requires licensing in applicable states that PI operates, which is subject to change.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Salary Range
$65,000 - $69,000 USD
Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is just one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs designed to support our team members' financial, physical, and mental well-being. Specific benefits—such as day-one medical coverage, 401(k) matching, annual performance bonus and equity package — depending on position. Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.
