Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with an emphasis on monitoring and telemetry to join our team to monitor our network of websites. You will work closely with software engineers, marketing department another cross-functional teams to develop and maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure. This role involves comprehensive monitoring, addressing complex technical issues, automating solutions to recurring problems. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our platforms and infrastructures.

Salary 

$100K-$130K

Responsibilities

• Design solutions that enable automatic identification of harmful or unwanted traffic in digital advertising.
• Analyze harmful or unwanted traffic to understand their behavior and their impact on the advertising ecosystem.
• Conduct investigations to identify new harmful behaviors, enforce product policies, and analyze distribution trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Marketing, Product, and Legal to update policies, fix product loopholes, and provide protection to advertising site quality with regards to activity.
• Monitor system activity, alerts, and events, examining performance data and identifying issues.
• Resolve issues, perform manual alert resolution, and first and second level troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain performance dashboards and reports.
• Deploy and supporting monitoring tools, creating and maintaining monitoring rules, and applying patches
• Develop and implement performance metrics.
• Design and implement performance testing and monitoring processes.

Minimum qualifications:

• Familiarity with CDN Providers (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly) and their traffic management solutions.
• Familiarity with Elastic / Open Search for log mining and analytics
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions, Site24x7, Appdynamics, Datadog, Zabbix
• Familiarity with tcp/ip traffic management
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with security in attacks and mitigation methods.
