Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and data-driven Product Designer to join our growing team and help shape the user experience of our new online platform. As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in defining and iterating on the design of our website, which is in its early stages and has great potential for growth. Your work will impact real estate professionals, investors, and home buyers, particularly those who are looking for detailed neighborhood information to help them choose the right location to live. You will need to leverage competitive insights, feature gap analysis, and other methods to create user-centered designs that also drive business results. Additionally, your designs must be data-driven and optimized for key metrics like conversion rates, user engagement, and other KPIs to drive our platform’s growth.
Salary:
$85K - $110K
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of key user interfaces and experiences for our website (FindaNeighborhood.com), ensuring they are intuitive, data-driven, and optimized for conversion and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing, developers, and other stakeholders to create user-centered designs that solve real business problems and enhance user experience while supporting business growth.
- Focus on delivering valuable neighborhood insights to users, helping them understand the key factors that affect their decision-making process when moving to a new area.
- Conduct competitive analysis, feature gap analysis, and market research to gather insights into industry trends, identify design opportunities, and ensure our platform offers the most comprehensive and relevant neighborhood data for people looking to move.
- Use data and insights from user research, A/B testing, analytics, and KPIs to inform design decisions and create optimized user experiences that improve conversion rates and other performance metrics.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and design specifications for new features, enhancements, and product iterations, with a focus on optimizing for key business KPIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor key metrics, iterate on design solutions, and continuously improve user experiences based on feedback and data-driven insights.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, user experience best practices, and real estate industry trends to ensure the platform remains competitive and cutting-edge.
- Maintain consistency across the platform’s design language, ensuring cohesive branding, typography, color schemes, and overall aesthetics.
- Advocate for user-centric design solutions, balancing business goals, user needs, and measurable KPIs.
- Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the platform by ensuring design decisions support scaling efforts and help us capture key market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio that showcases your design process, data-driven approach, and ability to optimize for KPIs like conversion rates.
- Strong experience in designing ecommerce subscription platforms - optimizing signup funnels and conversion/upgrade/retention flows.
- Experience with information architecture and organizing comprehensive data into meaningful layouts and insights.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis, feature gap analysis, and market research to inform design decisions and drive platform growth.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including usability testing, user research, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Proven experience using data and analytics to guide design decisions, with a focus on improving KPIs like conversion rates, engagement, and user retention.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers to bring designs to life and iterate based on technical constraints, user feedback, and data insights.
- Experience with responsive design principles and designing for both desktop and mobile interfaces.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions based on both user feedback and performance data.
- A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, with a strong understanding of visual design principles.
- Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.
- Design experience at a real estate, property, or neighborhood platform such as Redfin, Zillow, BatchLeads, PropertyRadar, or similar - is required.
