Royalty Data Analyst

The Role

HarbourView Equity Partners (https://www.harbourviewequity.com/) is seeking a Royalty Data Analyst who will be an integral contributor in the effort to utilize and manage data effectively and extract meaningful insights that power the firm's investment decisions.

What You Will Do

• Ingest, review, and evaluate large volumes of entertainment & media data, with a near-term emphasis on the music industry
• Develop and implement automated methods of extracting real-time insights from a broad spectrum of entertainment industry consumption sources
• Design, build, and present advanced analytical reports, dashboards and data visualizations in support of prospective deal opportunities
• Maintain and process ongoing royalty statements for acquired asset

What You Have

• Minimum 2 years of experience compiling and analyzing royalty data
• Strong understanding of music royalties and all types and sources of music income
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
• Ability to identify anomalies combined with a strong curiosity to reconcile and resolve potential errors, irregularities and inconsistencies
• Expertise in Looker, Tableau or a similar business intelligence tool
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and broad experience with different file formats (csv, tab, xls, txt, pdf, etc.)
• Working knowledge of SQL preferred 
• Python and R are a plus
