The Role
We’re hiring a Sales Manager to lead our expansion into Fire/EMS & Emergency Management markets. You’ll guide a specialized team of AEs focused on this emerging business line and help define how Peregrine brings data-driven decision-making to agencies responsible for public safety, disaster response, and community resilience.
This role will lead the charge in building pipeline, launching new GTM initiatives, and equipping our field teams with the support they need to close complex deals. You will help shape strategy and scale impact in a vertical that’s primed for transformation.
What You’ll do
- Manage and develop a team of Strategic AEs selling into Emergency Management and Fire/EMS agencies nationwide
- Drive GTM strategy, vertical-specific messaging, and pipeline creation in an emerging business segment
- Serve as a player-coach—supporting reps with technical sales, procurement, and executive alignment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor demos, value propositions, and onboarding for this vertical
- Identify and support participation in key events, association partnerships, and field marketing opportunities
- Build forecasting rigor, reporting structure, and hiring plans to support future growth
About you
- You have a strong command of how public safety organizations (especially Fire/EMS and Emergency Ops) operate
- You understand how to coach sellers through nuanced, multi-threaded deals in the public sector
- You are energized by vertical ownership—building the GTM motion, refining messaging, and growing a high-performance team
- You can speak to both field ops and IT leadership, and have experience coaching reps to do the same
What we look for
- 8+ years of sales or GTM experience, including public safety software, data platforms, or emergency management technology
- 2–4+ years of experience in sales leadership or team development, ideally in early-stage or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with key buyers in Emergency Management, Fire, or disaster response (e.g., EOCs, Chiefs, COOs, PIOs, etc.)
- Experience closing complex software deals involving RFPs, grants, or state/federal procurement pathways
- Ability to inspire trust with both technical and operational audiences
- Remote with U.S. travel; preference for candidates in major metro areas
Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 Annually + Sales Commission + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here.
