Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence—instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today, Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 23 states and two countries, serving more than 90 million people—and we’re amplifying our impact as we expand into more industries.

We’re a team of entrepreneurs—undaunted by the hard problems and united by a passion to make a difference where it matters most. We collaborate relentlessly, move with urgency, and act with purpose. If you’re driven by mission and energized by the opportunity to build something new, join us in defining Peregrine’s future.

The Role

We're looking for a mission-driven Sales Manager to lead and scale Peregrine's team of Account Executives selling into State Agencies including Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Emergency Management agencies. This role sits at the intersection of Peregrine's highest-conviction public safety verticals and is critical to expanding our footprint with state agencies responsible for statewide law enforcement, corrections systems, and emergency management operations.

As a member of the revenue leadership team, you’ll act as a true coach; leading a team that is already in market while staying hands-on in complex deals, forecasting rigor, and GTM execution. You’ll focus on driving consistency, coaching performance, and refining scalable sales motions across state opportunities.

What You’ll do

  • Directly manage and coach a team of 6-10 Senior Account Executives
  • Act as a player-coach by supporting reps in active deals, including executive meetings, procurement navigation, and contract negotiations
  • Own forecasting accuracy, pipeline inspection, and performance management for the State segment
  • Collaborate closely with Strategic Growth Account and Local LE teams on accounts with overlapping state and local opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Deployment Strategy, and Product to refine GTM strategy and vertical messaging
  • Drive consistent execution through enablement, deal reviews, and best-practice sharing
  • Guide reps through complex B2G sales cycles involving RFPs, grants, and state procurement processes
  • Support hiring, territory planning, and team structure as the business scales

About you

  • You're deeply motivated by Peregrine's mission to modernize public safety through technology
  • You're a credible, player-coach leader who knows how to support experienced sellers without micromanaging
  • You thrive in ambiguity and can balance near-term deal execution with longer-term team development
  • You're energized by owning a vertical and refining messaging, sales process, and repeatable playbooks
  • You communicate effectively with executive, operational, and technical stakeholders

What we look for

  • 10+ years of experience in complex enterprise SaaS or B2G sales; government or public safety sector experience strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing or coaching sales teams
  • Strong familiarity with state government procurement, RFP processes, and minimizing otherwise-lengthy B2G sales cycles
  • Experience selling into state-level Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Emergency Management organizations; public sector practitioner experience is a significant plus
  • Understanding of grant-funded sales motions (e.g., FEMA, BJA, state appropriations) and public-sector funding pathways
  • Proven track record of overachievement as both an IC and a people leader
  • Proficient with Salesforce, Gong, Clari (or equivalents) and data-driven performance management
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time, including regular field visits with AEs and customer-facing meetings
  • Located in any major metropolitan city in the U.S.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 Annually + Sales Commission + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
