Position Overview:
PerfectServe is in search of a talented Senior Systems Engineer to aid in the development and implementation of our cloud capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly with AWS, along with a strong understanding of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications. This role demands the ability to tailor these technologies to enhance our business's security and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traditional data-center technologies with relevant support experience.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding and experience supporting SaaS platforms
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code development
- Experience managing and supporting cloud platforms such as AWS
- Analyze complex system behavior for security vulnerabilities and performance issues
- Participate in the Operations Engineering 24/7 weekly on-call rotation (after on-boarding)
- Make meaningful contributions to improve the system health and availability
Essential Functions:
- Extensive experience with the Windows Server platform and services (AD, DNS, GPO, PKI, etc.)
- Proven system management capabilities including automation of software upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting experience
- General knowledge of supporting web application farms, load balancing, and CI/CD deployments
- Ability to work closely with peers and team members collaboratively
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Completion of a degree or certification in a related field or equivalent experience
- Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Experience deploying services to AWS using Terraform, Ansible or similar
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server cluster administration
- Bonus: Experience deploying Docker containers and orchestration through Kubernetes clusters

We offer a salary range of $110,000–$140,000 per year, with compensation tailored to your background, strengths, and potential to grow within the team.
