About the Role
Perion is seeking an experienced and visionary Head Programmatic Marketplace Development to lead the evolution of our global programmatic monetization strategy across Open Web, CTV, and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH).
This is a highly strategic, visible role within the company, sitting at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and programmatic operations, with direct impact on Perion’s multi-hundred-million-dollar revenue engine.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Strategy & Revenue Leadership
- Define and execute Perion’s global Programmatic Marketplace Strategy across Open Web, CTV, and DOOH.
- Lead the design, commercialization, and scaling of auction package offerings, ensuring Perion’s supply is top-of-mind and preferred across major DSP marketplaces.
- Own the revenue for open auction and curated marketplaces; forecast, optimize, and report results to executive leadership.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities leveraging Perion’s technology, data, and algo optimization capabilities.
DSP & SSP Ecosystem Partnerships
- Act as Senior lead for strategic DSP relationships, driving visibility, adoption, and spend across Perion’s supply.
- Collaborate with SSP partners to ensure Perion packages are featured, discoverable, and positioned as premium supply options.
- Negotiate strategic marketplace partnerships and preferred listings with DSPs.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Product, Data, and Yield teams to continuously optimize package design, bid density, and win rate.
- Guide the Yield Optimization and Technical Integration teams to ensure seamless activation and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on GTM narratives, co-marketing initiatives, and thought leadership programs to elevate Perion’s marketplace brand.
Market Development & Thought Leadership
- Represent Perion at industry events, panels, and client meetings as a marketplace and programmatic thought leader.
- Stay ahead of emerging marketplace trends (curation, SPO, sustainability, AI-driven optimization) and translate them into commercial opportunities for Perion.
- Serve as the “voice of the market” to influence internal roadmap decisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- DSP bid volume and spend growth through Perion’s open auction and curated packages
- Adoption and visibility of Perion packages across DSP marketplaces
- Incremental programmatic revenue growth YoY
- Strategic partnership signings with DSPs and SSPs (preferred status, integrations, co-marketing)
- Contribution to total programmatic revenue and yield improvement
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, ideally within SSPs, DSPs, or advanced marketplace/curation environments.
- Proven success scaling programmatic revenue and building marketplace or curation strategies at a senior leadership level.
- Strong network and relationships with major DSP and holding company stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of auction mechanics, DSP buying logic, and supply path optimization.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to bridge product, business, and technology.
- Experience managing multi-channel (Open Web, CTV, DOOH) strategies.
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills — comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
