The Role: Building an ecommerce marketplace that helps Americans build credit
We’re building a brand-new Site Merchandising function and need a Manager who can pair conversion-rate grit with data-driven creativity to turn a multi-billion-dollar marketplace into a world-class shopping experience. You will be the cornerstone in driving both short-term and long-term plans that achieve key business and financial goals through impactful campaigns and events. Beyond simply executing, you will bring a strong analytical mindset and a deep sense of curiosity, constantly seeking data-driven insights that will guide decisions and fuel innovation. This combination of analytical rigor and curiosity will empower you to push boundaries and optimize strategies effectively.
As our standard keeper, you will ensure that high standards for content quality and consistency are not only established but also maintained across every touchpoint. You’ll be responsible for transforming assortment, customer acquisition, and customer development strategies into compelling on-site experiences that truly resonate with our customers. This includes creating a detailed merchandising calendar, setting and upholding content standards, prioritizing SKU builds, collaborating with product teams on site enhancements, partnering with marketing to achieve customer-related goals, and leading efforts to test and implement new functionality with precision. Your role is vital in ensuring that we build good habits while constantly striving for excellence in everything we do.

What You'll Do:
- Run the promo & event calendar: Plan and launch monthly + seasonal campaigns that drive revenue and AOV
- Engineer search & navigation wins: Use Algolia rules, synonyms, and ranking strategies to boost findability and search-led conversion
- Scale PDP excellence: Stand up BPO workflows that enable us to publish 1,000+ SKU builds/week with pixel-perfect content standards
- Prioritize site experiments: Partner with Product & Engineering to test new modules, personalization, and CRO ideas that lift conversion ≥ 80 bps
- Lead cross-functional collaboration: Translate Category strategies and Marketing goals into compelling onsite storytelling
- Within your first 90 days:
- Ramp quickly: Master our BI stack and deliver a 30-day audit pinpointing top conversion blockers and quick wins
- Own collaboration: Lead weekly syncs with Product, Marketing, and Category teams, driving action items and reporting outcomes
- Chart the future: Present a 12-month site-merch roadmap—promo playbook, search upgrades, content scale plan—to leadership for approval

What You’ll Bring:
- 4–6 years in site merchandising, growth, or CRO for high-SKU e-commerce
- Hands-on with Algolia, Magento (or similar CMS/PIM), DOMO, and A/B tools (Optimizely, VWO, etc.)
- Proven track record of measurable lifts in conversion, AOV, or attachment
- Experience hiring or managing direct reports and cross-functional squads
- Grit, curiosity, and passion for Perpay’s credit-building mission
