About the Role:
Perry Ellis International is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic recent graduates to join our Sales team as a Junior Account Executives. In this role, you will support experienced Account Executives and Vice Presidents of Sales in building and maintaining strong relationships with our department store accounts, with a focus on golf apparel. You will gain valuable experience in sales, account management, and the fashion industry, with opportunities to contribute to key account strategies and drive business growth. This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for golf and an interest in developing a career in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Support: Assist Account Executives in managing relationships with assigned department store accounts, focusing on golf apparel sales.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and identify trends and opportunities within the golf category.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our golf apparel products, including key features, benefits, and target markets.
- Meeting Preparation: Support Account Executives in preparing for client meetings, including gathering materials, creating presentations, and coordinating logistics.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients, responding to inquiries and providing timely updates.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels of golf apparel and collaborating with internal teams to ensure product availability.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about competitor activities, industry trends, and customer preferences within the golf apparel market.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the sales team, including managing schedules, processing orders, and tracking expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in sales and account management.
- Golf experience: Experience playing golf at a competitive level (e.g., college golf team) or working in the golf industry (e.g., pro shop, golf course) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
