SUMMARY: 

The Accounts Payable Specialist primary role is to provide administrative and processing support to the accounts payable department. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Process and/or key in high volume invoices/bills in NetSuite system interface in workflow for approval
  • Route all incoming emails including invoices to the correct AP Team member bin
  • Daily involvement in the coding and data entry of hard copy and electronic invoices.
  • Address the needs of internal and external customers inquiries
  • Provide routine updates to the AP Supervisor on workload and problematic issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of procedural and process changes.
  • Aid in special projects as required. 
  • Process high volume of invoices/bills in OCR in Netsuite
  • Review and research A/P Open item report
  • Handle vendor inquiries and requests in a friendly professional manner.
  • Reconciling payment selections prior to check processing
  • Computer literacy, attention to detail and time management; extensive AP experience, ability to function as a team player.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 2-3 years of experience in a fast pace environment; a fundamental working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Excel spreadsheets and word processing applications
