SUMMARY: 

The Sourcing Associate will be responsible for supporting the accessories team in identifying and evaluating suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and executing sourcing strategies. This individual will assist with sourcing activities, including supplier identification, supplier negotiation, and ensuring that products and services are delivered on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in identifying potential suppliers by conducting market research, attending industry events, and leveraging online resources.
  • Support the accessories team in evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, ensuring all vendor information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure the smooth procurement of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
  • Assist with resolving any supplier-related issues, including delays, product defects, or quality concerns.
  • Support the accessories team in managing the end-to-end sourcing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of procurement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management (entry-level candidates with relevant internships or experience will be considered).
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier offerings and market trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with procurement software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.

PREFERRED SKILLS:  

  • Experience with global sourcing or knowledge of international trade practices.
  • Familiarity with contract management, cost analysis, and procurement best practices.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and navigate different business needs.

Salary offered will be commensurate with experience. For this New York based position, the expected base salary is $59,700 - $75,455.
