Position Overview:
The Assistant Planner provides crucial support to the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Buying and Planning team, encompassing both e-commerce and retail stores. This role is essential for daily operational success, accurate reporting, and effective inventory management, building a foundational understanding of sales trends and planning processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own reporting updates, receipt tracking, and PO/inventory logs.
- Support the Director of Retail Planning with in-season business decks, ad hoc analysis, and data entry.
- Manage all store allocations, including creating and monitoring replenishment models to ensure optimal stock levels, allocating new product, and handling one-time orders.
- Analyze inventory levels and initiate requests for goods from various warehouses.
- Assist with planning and forecasting of replenishment buys and related analyses.
- Assist in quarterly hindsight recapping, focusing on insights related to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support by monitoring delivery flow to warehouses and product flow to stores.
- Learn and utilize planning tools and systems, including planning templates, weeks of supply (WOS) tracking, and forecast reporting.
- Build a foundational understanding of inventory management principles, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) and sales trend analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, or Finance preferred.
- Proven knowledge and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights for inventory and sales.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear collaboration with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics principles and experience with information systems.
- Proficiency in Business Objects.
