SUMMARY

Drive and execute the consumer-right, brand-right and market-right product plan and merchandising strategy for Nike Swim capitalizing on athlete & consumer insights as well as marketplace opportunities and delivering against business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Solve global athlete / consumer needs. Mine athlete insights, listen, filter/simplify then translate to a clear executable plan. Continue to edit and perfect to elevate product through athlete / consumer validation.

  • Deliver product excellence.  Deliver relevant product to create solutions & style for Nike Swim
    • X-functional partnership with Design and Development
    • Project Management
    • Detail & Process Oriented
  • Create product vision & strategy. Balance art & science to build a strategic product vision to drive profitability and sustained growth through athlete/consumer insights, marketplace opportunity, business analysis and market knowledge.
    • Own 3 YR + Seasonal product line plan
    • Deliver Compelling Product Briefs
    • Financial & Retail Acumen  
    • US & Global Marketplace knowledge
  • Demonstrate product acuity & aesthetic acumen.  Leverage a passion for product and high taste level o deliver product excellence thru fit, style, material, make  and finishing

SKILLS: 

  • Consumer, market knowledge and product creation process
  • Passion for product
  • Knowledge of product development process for  Apparel, Swimwear, Intimates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong financial acumen,  analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence key cross-functional stakeholders
  • Storytelling

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 3-5 years Merchandising experience, preferably in Apparel, Swimwear or related category
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Must have the ability to present and articulate and influence product strategy and product details to internal and external audiences
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google and Adobe Illustrator
  • Knowledge of product development process and brand management
  • Proficient in retail math
