Position Overview:

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for achieving or exceeding quantified sales budgets for assigned accounts. This role involves representing Perry Ellis International's product, image, policies, goals, and objectives, while consistently maintaining budgeted profit goals. You'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with retail buyers on an ongoing basis to present new product releases and sell to achieve established account budgets.
  • Interface effectively with buyers to ensure successful order execution and fulfillment.
  • Build and develop financial budgets by brand and by account in partnership with the Planning Department to ensure gross margin goals are met.
  • Present comprehensive assortment and door plan recommendations to retail partners.
  • Conduct thorough pre-meeting preparations with involved teams to strategize and organize presentations effectively.
  • Lead engaging sales presentations, including Google Slide decks with clear agendas, business overviews, detailed product presentations, and defined next steps.
  • Follow up all meetings with proactive and results-oriented recaps.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitor strengths and weaknesses in the market.
  • Monitor inventory levels, including weeks of supply, and identify available items for sale.
  • Travel to accounts as needed (domestic travel requirements 20-30%) and be prepared to present digitally when necessary.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including ensuring the integrity of the order base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in apparel or accessories sales, with a proven track record of managing multiple retail accounts.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage accounts independently.
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Apps.
  • Strong understanding of retail math.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large retail accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
