Position Summary:

As the Sourcing Associate you will be responsible for providing crucial operational and analytical support to the Sourcing team. Working closely with the SVP of Sourcing, you will be responsible for executing the daily tasks required to achieve critical goals related to cost, quality, and on-time delivery. This role involves heavy data entry, cost analysis, vendor communication, and supporting the team's overall sourcing strategy across multiple product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Costing and Analysis Support: Assist in gathering data for cost analysis and setting costing targets. Help compile information for high-level cost reviews for management. Use comprehensive analysis to support the team in determining the optimal sourcing strategy.
  • Vendor Communication & Operations: Serve as a key daily point of contact, communicating with overseas offices, vendors, and contractors regarding orders, costing, and general follow-up. Assist in maintaining and updating the factory matrix of top-rated partners.
  • Strategic & Development Assistance: Provide support in developing the sourcing strategy for PEI Golf knits/outerwear and Sportswear knits. Help the team research and onboard new factories, countries, and agents to expand our supply chain network.
  • Process Coordination: Assist in planning factory and mill capacities to ensure the delivery of product is on time. Help track lead times and support speed-to-market initiatives by following up with vendors.
  • Data Integrity & Systems: Ensure accurate data entry and maintain strong organizational records related to costing and vendor communications within the PLM system.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in apparel production, sourcing, or a related business area.
  • Education: A BS/BA Degree is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in spreadsheet management (Excel) and strong computer skills, including MS Word and Google Mail. Experience with PLM systems is required.
  • Knowledge Base: Foundational knowledge of Knit and Outerwear Apparel Sourcing is preferred. Basic understanding of cost analysis is required, with an ability to interpret data constructively.
