Position Summary
Perry Ellis International is seeking a visionary and tech-savvy Digital AI Design Intern to join our Innovation team in Miami for the Summer 2026 season. Reporting to the Senior Director of Innovation, this role sits at the intersection of fashion, marketing, and cutting-edge technology. You will leverage Generative AI to create high-impact marketing assets, from digital lookbooks and AI-generated avatars to cinematic brand videos, helping to redefine how our global brands are showcased across all media platforms.

Key Responsibilities
● AI Content Creation: Generate high-quality marketing assets, including images, videos, and presentations, using AI tools to enhance the visual identity of our brands.
● Campaign Development: Review marketing briefs and collaborate with various brand teams to build digital assets that align with specific campaign goals.
● Creative Prototyping: Build digital lookbooks and design realistic avatars wearing PEI garments, placing them in diverse global settings through AI-driven cinematography.
● Innovation Project: Exercise creative freedom to develop an original marketing concept for future seasons (e.g., Summer ’28), showcasing your ability to merge brand heritage with futuristic tech.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Meet with marketing and design teams to iterate on AI-generated content, ensuring a balance between technological efficiency and design sensibility.

Qualifications
● Background: Current student or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Marketing, Cinematography, or a related creative field.
● AI Literacy: Functional knowledge of Generative AI tools and LLMs (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) and a strong understanding of technical prompting.
● Design Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop, is required.
● Technical Plusses: Experience with Google Workspace and emerging AI creative tools (e.g., Wavy, Lora, Freepik).
● Must be available for a June 1, 2026, start date.

Personal Attributes
● Creative Sensibility: You have the eye of a designer or cinematographer and understand how to use technology to elevate an aesthetic rather than replace it.
● Tech-Curious: A natural "hunter" for new tools and workflows; you are likely already using AI to change how you design or present ideas.
● Adaptive & Proactive: Comfortable working in a fast-paced "startup" environment within a large corporate structure.
● Strategic Storyteller: Ability to take a marketing brief and translate it into a compelling visual narrative using AI.
