The Perry Ellis International, Nike Swim team are currently looking for a Summer Merchandising Intern in Portland, OR!


What You’ll Do:
● Collaborate and interface with all cross-functional teams including design, sales, product development, technical design, and marketing
● Reviews quantitative selling reports to perform analysis on seasonal best/worst sellers
● Shadow merchandising supervisor and attend meetings with cross functional teams
● Prepared summaries of work status and present to merchandising supervisor
● Create and maintain seasonal digital catalogs within Nuorder platform
● Organize current and future season samples
● Help analyze the competitive market in order to ensure pricing and brand positioning is in line with the completion
● Prepare regular competitive shopping recaps using online and in store data
● Perform trend research as needed
● Participate in and help prepare for meetings, including market preparation with showroom samples and presentation boards
● Help the merchandising and design teams with any additional tasks

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
● Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
● Ability to prioritize and multitask
● Strong analytical and decision-making skills
● Ability to interact with varying personalities
● Must have the ability to present a professional and informative product and trend
assortment to internal and external audiences.
● Proficient in MS Office and Google and Adobe Illustrator

Requirements:
● Pursuing a 4 year college degree
● Currently enrolled and attending an accredited university
● Strong interest in both merchandising and fashion
● Knowledge of Google Applications including Excel/Google Sheets
● Detail oriented and deadline driven
● Ability to multitask
● Excellent communication skills
● Schedule is Monday through Thursday
