Position: Manager, Classroom & Technology Support

Reports to: Senior Manager, Classroom & Technology Support

Location: Bronx, New York

Modality: Remote 50% must be in compliance with Per Scholas office policy

Travel: 25% to 50%

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Per Scholas seeks a motivated and collaborative individual to serve as Manager, Classroom Technology & Support within the Training, Quality, and Education Department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Classroom & Technology Support, the Manager will oversee daily operations related to classroom technology, ensuring smooth functionality and support across multiple sites. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s mission by enhancing classroom technology, managing assets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and scalability.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work alongside the Senior Manager, Classroom & Technology Support, to complete the tasks below

Classroom Support

  • Supervise day-to-day classroom technology operations, providing hands-on support and ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Collaborate with site leads and facilities teams to implement classroom design improvements based on organizational guidelines.
  • Monitor and respond to support requests, working closely with local teams to resolve technical challenges in a timely manner.

Technology

  • Manage the Classroom Technology & Support Ticketing system, triaging tickets to team members or other departments as necessary.
  • Provide on-the-ground Level 1 and 2 technical support and escalate more complex issues to the Senior Manager or Senior Director as required.
  • Assist in implementing and coordinating technology rollouts, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Support the research and testing of new classroom technology solutions and provide feedback for continuous system improvements.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment of classroom technology with future-proofing and scalability strategies.

Documentation

  • Maintain and update classroom asset management records across platforms like Salesforce, Smartsheets, Asana, and Asset Tiger.
  • Develop run books, process guides, and knowledge base articles for classroom technology operations.
  • Ensure thorough documentation for all classroom technology upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities.

Teaching and Training

  • Deliver training sessions for site teams on the use of classroom technology and support tools.
  • Run workshops for new tools, platforms, and features introduced to classrooms.
  • Assist in tracking training outcomes and ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participation in staff meetings
  • Contribute to data collection and reporting for classroom technology operations.
  • Assist with asset procurement, ensuring equipment meets organizational standards and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale technology and classroom improvement projects.
  • Support team innovation by contributing to new initiatives and providing feedback to optimize processes.
  • Participate in staff meetings and represent the team in departmental collaborations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:

Professional Qualifications

  • Prefer a graduate of a Per Scholas Training Program
    • Must have obtained all certifications offered in the training course you participated in (Does not apply to Software Engineer graduates)
    • Recommended by a Per Scholas Technical Instructor
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cysa+, Project+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in service desk analysis, infrastructure engineering, network administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an educational or non-profit environment is preferred
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Experience working with diverse individuals and groups with varying learning styles; experience in workforce development a plus.
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Process-oriented & highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented, highly responsive communicator, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in being part of a culture of continuous improvement.
  • EST preferred

For this role, we are targeting a salary range of $65,000-$70,000
