Title: Research Assistant Intern
Location: United States
Duration: 3–6 months, with possibility of extension
Stipend: $2000/3 month internship, $4000/6 month internship
Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible schedule
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant Intern to support ongoing research and evaluation projects. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize key findings
- Assist with qualitative and quantitative data collection (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups)
- Clean, code, and analyze datasets using Excel, SPSS, R, or similar software
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other dissemination materials
- Maintain accurate records of research activities
- Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions and planning
- Perform administrative tasks related to research as needed
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, education, economics, psychology)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with research methods and data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with statistical software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Preferred Skills (not required):
- Experience with literature databases (e.g., JSTOR, PubMed, Google Scholar)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Interest in adult education, education policy, or workforce development
