About Petfolk

At Petfolk, we’re reimagining veterinary care by blending world-class medicine with hospitality-driven experiences for pets and their people. We’re building a team that shares our commitment to raising the bar for pet care, and we’re looking for leaders who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Manager of Regulatory and Compliance Processes to play a pivotal role in ensuring our Pet Care Centers operate with compliance, efficiency, and reliable vendor support. In this role, you’ll oversee hospital and team member licensure, manage regulatory requirements, lead OSHA policy implementation (with HR support), and serve as a key liaison across departments. You’ll also take ownership of vendor account management, supporting new hospital openings and ensuring compliance standards are met across all Petfolk locations.

If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to make an impact in a growing veterinary ecosystem, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape scalable compliance processes as we expand.

What You’ll Do

Vendor & Account Management

  • Partner with Development and Procurement to develop systems for vendor management.

  • Manage vendor accounts post-launch, including escalations and relationship oversight.

  • Own processes for vendor transitions during leadership changes.

  • Provide updates to hospital teams on vendor processes.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Build and maintain tracking systems for licenses and regulatory data (Controlled Substances, Radiation, Hazardous/Biomedical Waste, etc.).

  • Ensure all clinical team members and PCCs remain compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development on compliance training (OSHA, Controlled Substances, Radiation Safety).

  • Support regulatory troubleshooting tickets (licensing, vendor accounts, procurement issues).

  • Research ongoing growth and stay up-to-date on jurisdictional regulations and ensure operational continuity.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between HR, IT, Operations, Medical Operations, Procurement, and Finance.

  • Provide compliance and regulatory guidance to leadership and care center teams.

  • Prepare supporting materials such as briefs, training docs, and presentations.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead process refinements to support growth from 35+ to 50+ hospitals and beyond.

  • Develop SOPs, documentation, and trackers to ensure continuity.

  • Anticipate challenges and proactively resolve escalations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–3+ years in the veterinary ecosystem (inventory, compliance, or management experience strongly preferred).

  • Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong written and verbal communication.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Comfortable with AI tools.

  • Mindset: Service-oriented, proactive problem solver, thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Complete compliance/regulatory tickets within SLA timelines.

  • Maintain uninterrupted regulatory permits and accounts across PCC operations.

  • Ensure all new PCCs are fully compliant prior to opening.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid/Remote: Reliable internet required.

  • Travel: Occasional visits to Petfolk HQ (NYC and Boca Raton) and market locations.

  • Environmental Exposure: Primarily office-based (95% inside).

Compensation

We are committed to offering competitive compensation and a supportive company culture where all team members can thrive. This role has an anticipated base salary range of $85,000-100,000 USD annually, along with a robust package that includes equity ownership. Final compensation may vary based on location, and equity details will be shared at the time of offer.

Why Petfolk?

At Petfolk, we believe our people are the heart of our mission. We offer a collaborative environment where your work directly impacts the wellbeing of pets, their people, and the teams who care for them. Join us and be part of a company that’s not just growing but reshaping the future of veterinary care.
