Investigator Grants Specialist

Position Summary:

The Investigator Grant Specialist will develop investigator grant/site budgets during the proposal process & revision generation and contribute to the clinical trial budgets. Manage and oversee the clinical site budgeting tools as well as other duties as determined by his/her supervisor in accordance with all departmental processes and timelines.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Primary responsibility for the generation of global investigator site budgets in support of the Precision’s proposal process, coordinating with vendors and other third parties as appropriate, all within the defined proposal production schedule
  • As a secondary responsibility, when needed, assist with coordination and accountability for the entire proposal preparation process, including coordination of all key operational areas ensuring timelines are met and deadlines are achieved, consulting with other various types of services as necessary
  • Support Proposal Team with development of full project budget to accurately reflect resourcing needs for services requesting using excel-based costing tool. Able to use financial formulas to assist the team in capturing appropriate details, unique budgetary needs, and mapping to client grids
  • Participate in the strategy meeting
  • Identifies key components in proposal budget and client material and apply to investigator grant site budget
  • Develops full site budget to accurately reflect study design and proposal assumptions
  • May assist with the development of change orders for ongoing studies, including investigator grant budget development or revisions and justification for such need.
  • Communication with client to support project team in the delivery of change orders and providing necessary information to support the adjustments as needed
  • Contribute to the maintenance of departmental records and internal and intercompany reporting requirements including financial analysis of budgeted studies

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in site budget and/or proposal development in the life sciences arena, preferably that 3-5 years is in a CRO environment

Other Required:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently toward delivering high quality, client-ready operational budgets, and proposals
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to quickly shift priorities
  • Detailed oriented, with high focus on quality
  • High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment to support departmental/company goals and values
  • Minimal travel required for company meetings

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years in a CRO environment

Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of investigator grants development and site budgeting techniques
  • Microsoft Office Product Suite
  • Grants Manager or similar investigator site budgeting tools
  • Additional customer related management tools as determined by the Business Operations teams
  • Basic Medical Terminology
  • Provide efficient quality control, recognizing problems, constructively identifying and articulating solutions

 

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

$61,141 - $91,711 USD
