Procurement Analyst
Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing an efficient and effective procurement operation for acquiring materials, supplies, equipment, and services in connection with the delivery of services supporting clinical trials. The Procurement Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising procurement activities that include but are not limited to: (i) managing and tracking the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle; (ii) negotiating preferential pricing; (iii) establishing and tracking towards savings targets; and (iv) performing other commercial and transactional activities.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Managing the solicitation process, including reviewing/comparing specifications and costs and where appropriate supporting negotiation with vendors to reduce costs.
- Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements.
- Developing tools and processes to support efficient and quality driven procurement activities.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry’s market trends and developments.
- Leading transformational activities to build organizational procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Delivering value and competitive advantage measured by cost reduction and cost avoidance, vendor-enabled innovation, and risk mitigation.
- Ensuring compliance in purchasing process, especially in vendor selection and bidding.
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, or related field required or International equivalent education.
- Minimum of five years of work experience in life science procurement and outsourcing.
Other Required:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of purchasing policies processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.
- Experience with clinical trial procurement and contract research organization operations.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Certifications
- Experience managing and developing staff.

- Capability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving operational efficiency.
