Our Technology Team is looking or a Project Manager - Energy Storage Systems (f/m/d) to help drive the future of energy storage solutions. You are highly disciplined, able to take responsibility, and can insist when necessary, having the drive to make all of your projects a success. Personal accountability and ownership is important to you, especially regarding decision-making and supervising project teams. In your role you will help in the development of novel Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and support the integration and deployment of BESS (large-scale) installations in Europe and USA. Together with the relevant product managers you translate requirements into detailed project scopes and comprehensive plans, coordinating cross-functional teams—from engineering and procurement through installation and commissioning—and ensuring seamless, on-time, on-budget delivery of our sodium-ion BESS solutions across Europe and USA.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage key projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success by adherence to scope, budget, and timeline
• Maintain intense focus on delivering to all committed milestones and hold the project team accountable by holding regular project status reviews
• Drive and communicate project status, schedule baselines, schedule issues, project risks and major decisions to all stakeholders
• Diligently manage risk throughout the project development life cycle

Must have’s:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, or related STEM field.
• At least 5 years of professional project management experience
• Industry experience in one or several of the following or sectors: manufacturing, life sciences, software or engineering
• Experience working with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to introduce and scale-up new products
• Experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management
• Full proficiency in English and at least B2 in German

Nice-to-have’s:

• Experience in managing international suppliers
• Experience in Power/PV/Battery industry is a huge plus
• Professional certification in project management or similar accreditation is a plus
