We are seeking an Inside Sales & Backoffice Specialist (f/m/d) who will build the operational backbone of our commercial engine and act as the driving force behind scalable lead generation, structured qualification, and early‑stage opportunity development across the EMEA region. In this fast‑growing startup and scaleup environment, you will establish repeatable outreach workflows, create measurable pipeline contribution, and ensure smooth handovers to field sales and business development.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Inside Sales & Customer Support
- Develop and continuously improve scalable inside‑sales processes, qualification methods, and digital outreach structures for the EMEA region
- Lead Qualification: Handle incoming B2B inquiries via phone, e-mail, Home Page, qualify potential leads and direct them to the appropriate regional sales manager
- Partner Management: Processing incoming inquiries via our representatives in various markets as integrators or dealers
- Quotation Management: Prepare, calculate, and issue tailored commercial offers and quotations based on technical specifications provided by our Field Sales, Technical Sales, Service and Project Management (Sales Operations)
- Customer Relations: Serve as a reliable first point of contact for our existing B2B partners, answering commercial questions and providing product availability updates
- Steer prospects through defined early stages of the sales cycle, ensuring smooth progression toward advanced commercial engagement
- Upselling: Identify opportunities to offer complementary products, extended warranties, or service packages during the quoting phase
- Lead structured discovery calls, identify customer needs, and position the product value proposition clearly and convincingly
Backoffice & Sales Operations
- Order Processing: Manage the entire order fulfillment cycle in our ERP system—from order entry and confirmation to coordination with the logistics and production departments
- CRM Maintenance: Keep our CRM system (MS CRM) up-to-date, ensuring clean data, accurate forecasting support, and seamless tracking of the sales pipeline
- Master Data Management: Maintain customer accounts, pricing agreements, and contract databases
- Interface Communication: Act as a hub between Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Technical Support to resolve delivery or billing discrepancies swiftly
Must have's:
- Degree in Business Administration, Commercial Training, or a related field. A background in electrical engineering or renewable energy is a strong plus
- 4+ years of experience in B2B inside sales, sales operations, or commercial backoffice, ideally within the renewable energy, electrical manufacturing, or good capital industry
- You are not afraid of technical products. You are eager to understand how battery storage systems, inverters, and energy management systems work together
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with a common ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and CRM system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- You are highly organized, process and solution-oriented, and able to keep a cool head in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Hands-on experience with remote outreach, digital prospecting, and structured lead qualification
- High responsiveness, reliability, and ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have's:
- Experience in Energy, Industrial Tech, Renewables, Battery Storage, BESS, or related technical sectors
- Familiarity with startup/scaleup environments and building sales processes from scratch
- Basic understanding of commercial frameworks including pricing and quoting workflows
- Experience working with technical teams to validate customer requirements
Location: Technoparc Lucerne, Switzerland - alternatively, we are also filling this position at our on-site location in Bremen, Germany.
Travel Readiness: ca. 20% within EMEA
