At PHENOGY, we are shaping a sustainable energy future. As our organization grows in scale and complexity, strong financial governance and transparency are critical to our success. To strengthen our finance function, we are looking for a hands-on and analytical Finance Controller to take ownership of operational controlling for our Swiss entity. 

As Finance Controller, you ensure reliable, timely, and transparent financial controlling for the Swiss entity within an international, multi-entity environment. You build and continuously improve controlling processes, tools, and governance, enabling management to make informed decisions while allowing senior finance leadership to focus on strategic, group-level topics. Your role is key in stabilizing and professionalizing financial operations as the company continues to grow. 

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the monthly financial close for the Swiss entity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness 
  • Prepare standardized monthly management reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable financial insights 
  • Co-design and further develop the financial controlling framework together with the CFO and finance team 
  • Operate, maintain, and continuously improve controlling and reporting tools and related processes 
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across accounting, payroll, and reporting inputs 
  • Act as the main operational contact for external accounting and payroll service providers in Switzerland 
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliation and alignment with sister companies 
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses and special controlling topics for management decision-making 
  • Establish and maintain a robust internal control system (ICS) and support financial risk assessments 

Must have's:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting & Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Several years of professional experience in financial controlling, accounting, or finance operations, ideally in a growing or multi-entity environment 
  • Experience in a Swiss accounting or controlling context
  • Strong hands-on experience with monthly close processes and management reporting 
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting tools and ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus) 
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven working style 
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders 
  • Fluent communication skills in German (minimum B1 level) and English (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have's:

  • Exposure to improving or scaling finance processes in a dynamic organization 

Location: Technopark Lucerne, Switzerland (home office possible, up to 20%), Travel Readiness: 0-10%
