POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Communications Seasonal Associate will primarily support the organization’s day-to-day corporate communications efforts, while also providing secondary assistance to the football communications staff. Seasonal Associates will gain experience in all aspects of the Communications department, including opportunities to earn new responsibilities, as determined by the staff. These are paid post-graduate positions and are full-time for the duration of the NFL season (start date to be decided).

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

 

The Communications Seasonal Associate will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist the Senior Director of Corporate Communications in promoting and publicizing all off-the-field campaigns, initiatives, and events for the following business departments, but not limited to: Eagles Autism Foundation, Community Relations, Corporate Partnership Sales and Activation, Marketing, Entertainment Teams, Go Green, Fan Services, Ticket Operations, Merchandise, and large-scale events hosted at Lincoln Financial Field.
  • Draft press releases, media alerts, media distribution lists, and talking points for assigned non-football projects in an effort to enhance the organization’s positive image off the field.
  • Research, track, and compile media coverage for all business and community-related events and campaigns through the department’s media monitoring service.
  • Lead communications efforts for the Eagles Care Community Tuesday initiative, which includes drafting media alerts and PR plans, pitching stories, securing media coverage, attending all events, facilitating interviews, tracking coverage, and sharing recaps with relevant departments.
  • Support media functions for concerts, soccer matches, and other events at Lincoln Financial Field.
  • An experienced transcriber who can independently proof press conference and post-game transcripts for the media and Eagles staff members.
  • Assist in the production of the department’s weekly supplemental game notes document, which includes working with business operations staff to compile gameday entertainment details for home game press box notes.
  • Staff home games, practices, press conferences, and player media availability sessions.
  • Assist the department in organizing media credentials for the Jefferson Health Training Complex , Lincoln Financial Field, and road games.
  • Build relationships with local, national, and owned media members to help execute interviews.
  • Contribute to various football-related tasks as assigned by the football communications staff including, but not limited to, the creation of flip cards and player bio updates.
  • General office work, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Must be a recent or upcoming graduate who has completed within the previous eighteen months, a technical, associate, bachelors, or graduate degree (eligible graduation years 2025-2026) or an individual that has been discharged from the military within the last 18 months (2025-2026). 
  • Previous internship experience in communications, public relations, or sports information with a professional sports team, college athletics department, or sports environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the position.
  • Excellent writing ability with proofreading and transcribing experience.
  • Proficiency utilizing Adobe InDesign, Critical Mention or similar media tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • General understanding of the NFL media landscape and football terminology is helpful.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
