
Human Resources Systems and Operations Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as the Human Resources systems expert to improve data accuracy, system performance/processes, and operational efficiencies. This role requires a systems-oriented mindset and is responsible for maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, producing timely and insightful reporting, developing HR data visualizations, and driving process improvements across HR operations as well as providing reporting and employee and HR data to help other departments. This role Specialist takes a prominent part in HR processes, systems, and analysis.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This role will report to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with HR operations, specifically around technology and reporting for HRIS data, talent acquisition, engagement and inclusion, and internal communications.
- Maintain and administer the HRIS, ensure data integrity, security, and system performance.
- Serve as a primary administrator for the HR technology platforms.
- Act as a key team member in system implementation, data integrations, and upgrades of HR technology solutions.
- Configure and document workflows, system rules, permissions access, and system updates in alignment with HR policies.
- Develop, run, and maintain standard and ad hoc HR reports.
- Design and develop data visualizations to translate HR metrics.
- Evaluate and liaise with Information Technology (IT) department regarding integrated communication strategies across platforms (e.g., Email, Slack, Teams, SharePoint).
- Responsible for data administration during the employee lifecycle.
- Assist systems users and provide ongoing support and service to end users.
- Serve as a resource for providing HR support and partnering with managers as needed.
- Collaborate and work closely with the Payroll & HRIS Manager and serve as liaison with the IT team.
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays during events and games, when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a HR operations, HR coordinator, HRIS specialist or equivalent role.
- Hands-on experience managing a HRIS and HR data reporting.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and data privacy requirements.
- Strong collaboration and customer service orientation with continuous improvement focus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability with other Microsoft applications.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Canva experience is a plus.
- Value the importance of completing other duties as needed.
