Quotations Specialist - Part Time

Job Summary      

The position of Quotations Specialist will fulfill the day-to-day duties of the Quotations Department to document direct customer and distributor pricing efficiently and accurately as required. This position will actively communicate with internal and external customers to resolve issues and respond to inquiries.

This is a part time role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and process requests for new quotations, modifications to existing quotes and quotation renewals.
  • Express oneself clearly in conversations and written interactions with others using phone and email.
  • Ability to identify information needed to clarify a situation, seeking that information from appropriate sources using skillful questioning to determine correct answers.
  • Willingness to develop the depth of knowledge and skill to function efficiently within the entire quoting processes.
  • Develop a command of all standard Quotations processes.
  • Assist field sales and distributors with the quoting process as requested.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Quotations Supervisor.
  • Maintain effective communication channels and working relationships with internal contacts and external customers.
  • Works collaboratively to produce innovative ideas and drive forward change.
  • Works as a team player to make a difference within the business and expresses gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance, or support.
  • Readily handles change by taking advantage of lifelong learning opportunities and being open-minded and curious in the face of new challenges.

 Qualifications

  • Must have at least two years of customer service or call center experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Baan & CRM systems helpful
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Phoenix Contact product, sales structure, and Distributors helpful

Essential Job Functions

  • Must be able to work as a member of a team to provide world-class customer service.
  • Must have equivalent of high school diploma.
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime.
  • Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time and 8 hours in a day.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and mouse to perform data entry.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
