Facilities and Security Management Intern - Summer 2025
Internship Summary

Phoenix Contact’s Facilities Team is looking for a Facilities and Security Management Intern Summer 2025 Intern to support Controlling and Engineering. The Intern will:
- Help coordination & maintaining the facility infrastructure drawings & specifications. • Manage change to facilities x-referenced drawings as projects complete.
- Assist facilities management with estimating and budgeting future projects. Project Management
- Assist facility management with project manuals, RFQ packages, contractor walkthroughs, and overall project management.
- Creation of project schedules for internal projects.
- Assist in progress meetings with contractors and necessary stakeholders throughout large facility projects. Facility Maintenance
- Assist with additions and turnovers in facility software (CMMS).
- Assist facilities maintenance team with coordinating the necessary resources for special events at the facility.
- Assist facility management with ways to be more environmentally friendly and safety conscience.
- Assist in management of facilities capital asset tagging and coordination in conjunction with finance team.
Our Summer interns work full time in a fun and engaging work environment.
What does a typical day look like?
Supporting the team in CAD Design and engineering, Contractor management, project & schedule management, budget and scope creation for project.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Engineering, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Construction Management.
- Coursework in Project Management, CAD Design, Drafting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be a student during duration of internship
Must Be Able To
- Must be able to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (2-4 hours at a time)
